Connect is Tyler School of Art and Architecture’s annual alumni networking event for the graduating seniors to have an opportunity to talk to design professionals and overall to celebrate their successes!

Each year, a group of talented designers collaborate on the branding identity that gets represented for this memorable fun event and collateral aspects. For Connect 2024, we developed the tagline “Spark Opportunities, Ignite Success” and focused on the neon nightlife qualities within the brand.

Getting Started

Before getting into the whole designing process, we were interviewed by our professor Abby Guido to see which of the roles best fitted our skill sets and experiences. After assigning our responsibilities, it was time to begin!

We began experimenting what did Connect mean literally and figuratively to its audience aka our seniors. It took us a while before reaching our final brand.

Our first approach was too literal and serious as even though this was an opportunity for many seniors to get their first steps into the industry, we were reminded that this is also a time of celebration for the end of their studies!

Trying to incorporate nightlife and neon was how we brought our final brand to life and created a system that is reflective of our event and the celebration it represents.
